Season 3, Episode 3 | Tzipi Livni

The Bertelsmann Foundation and the Aspen Ministers Forum are proud to release the final episode of season three’s Leadership in Action video series. This episode features former Israeli Foreign Minister, former opposition leader in the Knesset, Tzipi Livni.

This episode, filmed prior to the Hamas terror attack of October 7, 2023 and the ongoing conflict, highlights Livni’s efforts as the chief Israeli negotiator in peace talks with the Palestinian Authority during the last two rounds of negotiations in the 2000s, the gaps that were bridged even when an agreement was not achieved, and the leadership that is needed for a better future on both sides.

The Leadership in Action series examines skilled negotiators and diplomatic practitioners reflecting on their attempts to resolve geopolitics’ most intractable challenges, and shares insights in their own words.

This episode concludes the third season of Leadership in Action, which also features Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine’s struggle for democracy, and former Swedish Foreign Minister Jan Eliasson on resolving deadly conflicts around the globe.
